Price and reservation

What an Australian Cobberdog costs and what is included

from €3,200

A puppy from Australian Cobberdog House costs from €3,200. The final price depends on size, age, sex, colour and the level of training you ask for. The reservation is €500 and is deducted in full from the final price.

Those two figures are public. On this page you will find what the price of a specific puppy depends on, how payment is split, what financing options exist and what comes with the puppy. The exact conditions always reach you in writing before you reserve.

The price

What the final price depends on, and why there is no price list

The individual price reflects size, age, sex, colour and the requested training level. Availability also affects which options we can propose. Ask for the price of the particular puppy and the scope of any additional training rather than assuming a fixed amount from a colour or photograph.

We provide an individual proposal once we know which puppy and arrangements are being considered. It sets out the price and conditions before you pay. Ask about anything that is unclear in the proposal or contract.

If the puppy will travel, confirm the route, official documents, responsibilities and any associated costs before reservation. The starting puppy price should not be read as a promise of identical delivery arrangements for every destination.

Payment

Two payments, from reservation to handover

Between the first message and the handover there are exactly two payments: the reservation and the balance. This is how they work.

€500

The reservation

Secures your puppy and is deducted in full

With the reservation the puppy is held for you; the €500 is taken off the final price in full. The conditions for cancellation, refund, change of puppy or transfer of the reservation to a future litter are set out in the contract documents you receive before paying. If the puppy you want has not been born yet, the same amount secures your place on the waiting list: you give us three combinations of size, sex and colour in your order of preference, and we get in touch as soon as a matching puppy is here.

7 days

The balance

By bank transfer in the week before handover

The balance is paid by bank transfer within the week before the handover. The reason is simple: on the day you receive your puppy we would rather talk about the puppy than about money. How the handover works for families in other countries is on the page International delivery.

In instalments

Financing

Through a partner bank

Ask whether financing through a partner bank is available in your circumstances. Availability and approval depend on the provider and country of residence. Review the bank’s terms before deciding; we do not promise approval or a universal financing offer.

What you receive

What the price of your puppy includes

Our minimum handover age is three months, with later travel possible according to destination requirements. The individual proposal confirms the documents, veterinary care, contract and starter kit included. For international sales, review commercial movement requirements as well as the passport.

  • Microchip, and an EU pet passport where the destination requires it
  • Vaccinations according to age and destination, including rabies where required, and parasite treatment according to veterinary protocol
  • Veterinary health certificate, with a check before handover
  • Purchase contract with the guarantees expressly set out in it
  • Starter kit: a cloth carrying the scent of the litter and the food the puppy is used to, with its feeding plan
  • The socialisation programme of the first months and the ethologist's assessment around week seven

What lies behind each point is on the page Puppies, week by week, and under Health and genetics you will find the parents' genetic tests and the framework of the guarantees.

The why

What goes into our breeding programme

Behind the price there is genetics first. All our breeding dogs come from lines of MDBA breeders in Australia, Canada and the United States, and all of them take the H639 genetic panel by CombiBreed before they are accepted into our breeding programme.

Then time. Between two litters each female gets a long recovery period, in our programme usually a year and a half or more. Socialisation begins in the fourth week, led by an ethologist and a biologist, and every puppy spends its first three months with us: vaccinations on schedule, gradual weaning, first periods alone, temperament assessment. That calendar cannot be sped up.

We are MDBA members, breeder number 45027. Membership, genetic information and the puppy’s veterinary and socialisation records are separate things to review. Owning a dog also means planning for ongoing food, grooming, veterinary care and support beyond the purchase price.
