This page explains what happens to the details you send us and the technical data needed to operate this website. We use them to answer enquiries, manage the steps towards a reservation and protect the contact form against abuse.

Controller

What data we collect

You provide contact details through the contact form: name, email address, city and country, and phone number, plus any message you choose to add. If you contact us by WhatsApp or by phone instead of the form, we process the number you write or call from and the content of the conversation. This website has no user area, requires no registration and, as described under Cookies, uses no analytics or advertising cookies.

What we use it for, and on what legal basis

We use your contact details to answer your request and, if you choose to proceed, prepare or fulfil a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). General correspondence and protection against abuse rely on our legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)). Any records that must be retained by law are processed to meet those obligations (Article 6(1)(c)). The checkbox confirms that you have read this notice; it does not sign you up to marketing.

We do not run a newsletter, advertising profiles or automated decisions about you. Please do not include medical records or other sensitive documents in an initial enquiry.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence while it is needed to deal with your enquiry, including any reservation that follows. Records may need to be retained to comply with legal duties or to resolve claims. Once there is no longer a reason to keep personal data, it should be erased. You may ask us about the records relating to you using the email address above.

Who receives it

We do not sell contact details. The form is processed on the server of our hosting provider and delivered by email to our inbox; Webempresa provides the hosting and mail service. If you write to us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp processes your data under its own terms, over which we have no control.

If you live outside the European Union

This website is read by families in many countries. When you contact us from outside the EU, the data you send is processed in Spain, within the EU, under the GDPR. Using WhatsApp may involve processing outside the EU under that provider’s own terms; you can use our form or email instead. Depending on where you live, local data protection law may give you additional rights; we will honour any request that such law entitles you to make, and the contact address is the same: info@australiancobberdoghouse.com.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict its processing, to data portability and to object, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@australiancobberdoghouse.com; we reply within the statutory period. If you believe the processing of your data breaches data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish supervisory authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es), or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live.

Technical data and security

The hosting service may record IP addresses, request times and requested pages for operation and security. The form uses a short-lived counter based on a keyed hash of the IP address to limit repeated submissions. It is not a tracking cookie and is not used for advertising. The website is served over HTTPS, the form is validated on the server and access to the inbox is limited to the people who answer your enquiries. We keep no more than we need and no longer than necessary.
